All Malossi cast iron and aluminium cylinders are divided into different classes according to tolerance.

Classes from ‘0’ (smallest piston) to ‘D’ (largest piston) are available, each with 0.01 mm spacing.

<li>All Malossi cylinders are categorised by size and bear a size mark, week number and year.</li>
<li>All Malossi pistons bear the size marking (letter or number).</li>
<li>An arrow on the piston crown shows how the piston should be correctly aligned when used in cylinders. The arrow should point in the direction of the outlet.</li>
