<p align="justify">The Malossi range for the Vespa includes state-of-the-art products that deliver such exceptional performance compared to the standard that the other essential components of the vehicle also need to be adapted.
<p align="justify">Just compare a 1978 Vespa PX 200 E, which develops a standard power output of 12.35 hp at 5,700 rpm, with a Vespa that has been ‘souped up’ with Malossi kits Vespa that can develop 27.5 hp at 8,000 rpm, or more than twice as much power at extremely high revs, to understand that it was absolutely necessary to develop a clutch unit that could withstand the stresses of such a significant increase in power! </p>
<p align="justify">Malossi's <strong>POWER UP CLUTCH SYSTEM</strong> clutch units have been developed to solve and overcome all the problems that inevitably arise when the clutch technology is not suited to the other components of the engine. A conventional clutch, which has to transmit more than twice the power to the gears and at the same time has to rotate much faster, can, under the effect of centrifugal force, lead to the collapse of the bell, slippage and deformation, causing disturbing and unsettling noises, up to the classic clutch slip phenomena caused by insufficient friction of the original discs, which, among other things, prevents the transmission of all the power released by the thermoblock, thus partially negating its potential.

<p>The two versions of Malossi's <strong>POWER UP CLUTCH SYSTEM</strong> have common features:</p>
<ul>
<li>Clutch basket <strong>POWER UP CLUTCH BASKET</strong> made of high-strength steel with surface hardening to increase wear resistance and thus service life.
<li>Reinforcement ring welded to the outer diameter of the basket using TIG technology to effectively counteract the centrifugal force generated by the higher speed.
<li>4 clutch discs with high-performance friction material.
<li>Newly calculated and adjusted clutch tolerances, especially at the connection between the clutch hub and basket, to prevent annoying metallic noises and extend the service life of the components. </li>
</ul>
<p align="justify">Both clutches are operated by a series of main springs with a high coefficient of elasticity, 6 in the bell for the PX 125 - 150 models and 7 in the bell for the <strong>PX 200 E, and are supplied with a set of auxiliary springs, again 6 for the <strong>PX 125 - 150</strong> and 7 for the <strong>PX 200 E</strong>, which are used in the most powerful configurations. This setting allows the user to adapt the clutch to the engine configuration, offering advantages in all power ranges and in all possible configurations.
